Shalford Community Orchard

Planting a new orchard on common land at the heart of Shalford to provide a facility for the whole community

After two tree planting sessions we now have an orchard!

Thank you to all the volunteers who have signed up to water the orchard.

On Saturday 4th October 2025, the Community Orchard was host to Apple Day.

Adults and children enjoyed washing, cutting, peeling, scratting and pressing apples to produce litres and litres of fabulous fresh apple juice.

To add to the fun, local morris dancers performed before and after their lunch-time visit to the Queen Victoria pub.
