Swift Box Survey Waiting List

The Guildford Swift Project will come to Shalford in Autumn 2026 to survey suitable sites for swift nest boxes. Register your interest here to be kept informed.

The Guildford Swift Project installed 18 boxes in Shalford in early 2026. They will be back in the autumn to survey for new locations for boxes to be installed in spring 2027 before the swifts arrive in April.

Each box is built and installed by the project and can be painted white to blend in if required. Each installed box costs £50, usually paid by the homeowner, and the project also accepts donations if the site isn't suitable, so a box can be installed elsewhere, for example the Village Hall or St Mary's Church.

We are creating a list of interested people (no commitment to go ahead), so we can contact people and arrange surveys in the autumn.
