Balsam Bashing

Himalayan Balsam is a non-native invasive plant, of particular concern on riverbanks. It can out-compete native plants, leading to a reduction in bio-diversity. It also leads to soil erosion along water courses.

Volunteers will be working at Chilworth Gunpowder Mills as part of a project to clear this weed from 300m of riverbank.
